More about the colour Green

The colour green is understandably linked with mother nature and therefore has connotations with growth, renewal, health, and the environment. Green is described as being a restful colour with similar calming attributes as blue.

Green can promote calmness, and is said to be a good general healing colour because of it's growth stimulation properties, and the ancient Chinese and Egyptians used the colour green in the their jewellery to this effect.

The colour green can conjure positive character traits such as: generousity, sympathy, compassion, understanding, and practicality.

Green jewellery can be used with blue to produce echoes of nature such as water and forest, as well as denote new beginnings and growth. Green jewellery with brown, or beige can convey a truely earthy colour scheme suitable to worn with black and maybe yellow. For a really lively summer/spring theme why not try lime greens with orange and yellow to create a fresh and fruity palette.
