More about February birthstone jewellery

February is the second month in the Roman and Gregorian calendars, and is the only month with less than 30 days. The Celts and Romans regarded this month as the beginning of spring and the word is thought to come from 'februra' with means purification and reflects many rituals undertaken before spring.

Around 400 years ago, February was called 'Feverell', and around one hundred years later it had become 'Februeer'. The modern name is thought to be only about a hundred years old.

Star signs in this month:

  • Aquarius
  • Pisces

More about the Amethyst gemstone

The name amethyst derives from the Greek word “Amethystos”, which is basically translated as ‘not drunken’. It is found in alluvial deposits. Its hardness in the Rohm scale is 7 and its crystal structure is trigonal, with a composition of silicon dioxide and vitreous lustre. It is said that it can help to balance the body, and gives inner peace.

More about Charms

Charms are the latest additions to the Sundari family of jewellery. We have an extensive knowledge of gemstones so we have decided to introduce a new range of charms using a very wide variety of semi-precious gemstones such as amethyst, garnet, black onyx, rose quartz, and labradorite. And, as well as gemstone charms we have also released a range of plain sterling silver charms that feature intriguing designs like letters, animals, plants, and fashion accessories.

Of course all or our charms are sold at very competitive prices and in many cases you can purchase a full range of charms with a silver bracelet for less than other stores would sell individual charms. This then gives you the opportunity to be far more versatile when accessorising your outifts.
